My first mission was a replacement for the VCR that broke. So I searched and I cross referenced and I read the reviews and all sorts of wacky stuff, and I ended up with this and this,

I looked for 5 hours online... and then 2 at the store... good golly. For someone who owns stock in the "kill your television" bumbersticker company, I'm all about bringing my TV back to life... you know, like Buffy.

But I got my very first rejection letter in the mail today... well.. it's not actually a letter... it's like a rejection checklist. You have listed your pieces, and they either check yes, or no... good golly... but considering it the judges were from a conservative museum in New Hampshire. But I .... oh well. Lost my thought as i got distracted by the conference I am not organizing and the price... I forget how in queer/leather culture there is so much issue with the class issues of ability to pay and scholarships and the like that I'm shocked, nay horrified, when I see only "student" listed as an option for inability to pay.... becasue dayum... 200 bucks is a serious chunk of change... (esp when I thought it was only 50 ish) Oh well.. gotta go. pray for tax refunds.
