bang on that drum all day.

Ok,

So I got to sit though one full lecture at the conference, and someone please tell these folks that they *really* need to give us a break. Like really... 4 hours in a darkened room with folks talking about things that really aren't on topic= not ok. What is ok, is that I managed to learn some new stuff and stay awake the while time... well the new stuff isn't new stuff, it was more like ideas. Ideas about the woman who went bombastic on my work said. She said... you need to edition... let these pieces have a life outside of your folio... make them have lil' children, and send them to galleries and whatnot.

And I thought about making some pieces using my inkjet. Because inkjet is water soluble, I could print things with the inkjet, then using the damp paper and press in the printmaking studio, put the inkjet image onto nicer paper, and then perhaps print with other traditional methods on top. Probably work a look-see.

After that, I hung out with mom, and we went to Bennigans, and I got to scold her for eating at Bennegans when she was in Panama... just because Benegans is across the street in panama, does not mean that you should eat there. And I only had to wonder if the Panamanians had to wear 37 pieces of "flair".

We talked about producing art books, and what is needed to publish a catalog. All those details are fascinating... and figuring out how to do a show, and whether or not to make it juried, or invitational. All of it interesting and energizing, before we rushed off to see "blue man group”which was fun... though it was a old show, and unless they are trying to beat "Cats” they need to make up a new act. And they can ditch the product placement (Captn' Crunch and Twinkies) But it was fun...Though I'm still trying to find the equivalent of art and show and sparks flying in a percussion show as "Savage Aural Hotbed". (power tool percussion!)

Though as part of BMG, I liked the "tide of paper" part the very best. Interactive through means of touch or vibration makes if fabulous. Then we were walking along on the way back to the hotel, and some guy says. "Hey, you wanna go see "Stomp" for free?" and we're like.. "Yeah" and so that was so nifty. And the cast was so cute. There was this little raver girl, who reminded me a lot of zephoria (little 'z') and her posse.

And I'm a sucker for rhythm, I always have been.

And I found out that there is a new World Rhythm movie at the IMAX, and let me tell you... if that is as excellent as it could be, oh golly, I'm a twitter for Tuesday.
